Courses are organized in consideration of learning ability in three levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
- Students are selected in consideration of Korean learning ability.
- 20~25 students
Applicants are expected to have the following qualifications before quarterly Korean language courses begin. However, eligibility for application will be determined by the Steering Committee of the Sungwook University International Language Institute.

- A person who does not have Korean Nationality
- Regardless of the nationality of the parent(s) of an applicant who falls in the category of 「A foreigner who has completed high school」 and 「A foreigner who has completed primary and secondary education」
- A person with dual or multiple nationality/citizenship, or a stateless person is excluded from “foreigner” or “foreign national”. (However, at the time of application, even if an applicant with dual/multiple citizenship, you will be admitted to the programs on the condition if you intend to abandon your Korean nationality within the set time period to satisfy the eligibility for the special admission. The period of study will be counted from the date of acquisition of foreign nationality.)
- An exception is made when the total period of study of a person who has completed 12 years or more of all primary and secondary (middle & high school) education in tow or more countries is inevitably inadequate within one semester (six months) due to the difference in school systems in the school transfer or enrollment process in a third country.

- If you submit proof of exam or test scores or awards acquired during high school, and guidance leaflets/information for your high school (School Profile, etc.), they will be taken into account in the document review stage.

- If you submit your rank (percentage) class or school (if not listed on your transcripts), or other proof of the applicant's education level through other official evidence (such as Official Letters, etc.) from your high school the submission will be taken into account in the document review stage.
- Proof of Language Proficiency
Ex) TOPIK, KLAT, TEPS, TOEFL, TOEIC
- Guidance Leaflets/Information For Your High School (School Profile, etc.) : A school profile or other official data/information (from high schools or national education authorities) available at every high school you attended. Data/information on the current status of curriculum and advanced courses offered by your high school, the number of students enrolled, the students’ grade distribution in school, the average and distribution of the standard examination or test scores of students, the way to enter your school (selection/placement/option, etc.), college enrollment rate for high school students, and the status of enrollment.
